The Columbia River Gorge is one of the great places to witness the extent of nature's power and ability to create earthly wonders. One of the most dramatic landscapes in the entire world of wine is found here - an exceptional terroir for Cabernet - unbelievably complex, mineral rich and structure enhancing. As yet relatively unknown, Columbia Valley is a rummage sale Picasso - a viticultural masterpiece, hidden in plain sight. As the state’s signature red grape, Cabernet Sauvignon in Washington has come of age, and is celebrated for its unique ability to develop the perfect combination of traits from the grape’s most famous locations – Bordeaux and Napa. Like the former, Washington Cabernets are celebrated for their structured tannic profile and muscular disposition. Like the best of Napa, they feature dense, dark fruit and incredible concentration. Sleigh The Day With Cabernet is the best of both worlds – old and new!

WINEmaker notes
Sleigh The Day With Cabernet undergoes a cool, prolonged fermentation in stainless steel tanks under the watchful eye of one of the region’s most talented enologists, then undergoes extended aging in French oak to build depth and complexity in the finished wine. Our Washington Cab pours an intense ruby red color with a granite red rim. Black cherry is dominant on the nose, along with strawberry, clove and white pepper notes and a whiff of toast. A round, soft palate with soft tannins and well-balanced acidity transitions smoothly to a long and supple finish.
